Gain national recognition and accolades for you and your team
Each entry must be submitted online using the online entry system. You will be asked to register after which you can choose the categories you wish to enter and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once you have completed the work on your entries, you can submit them all at once. The online entry system allows you to start an entry, save it, and complete it at a later date.
The main component of your entry is a 500 word written statement outlining what the nominee(s)/group/society has done in the past four years, that has furthered knowledge and benefited/the patient or area.
In addition to this you will need to supply:
- Name of nominee
- Job title
- Place of work
- Contact details (email, telephone, and address)
- Supporting documents *optional*
- Supervisor details and confirmation of consent *optional*
- Supervisor statement *optional*
You may submit additional information to support your entry, for example: images or testimonials, references and qualifications etc. Wherever possible, this should be uploaded online with the entry.

Judging will be based on:
- Evidence of novelty/original thinking,
- Evidence of a significant impact/benefit to the area or patients,
- Evidence in the application or supporting document of the achievements described,
- Suitability for the category entered.
- Please Note for Dressing/Device Nominations:
Companies are invited to nominate a dressing or device that they believe has altered wound care facilitating healing and while being cost-effective,
This must be available in at least three territories,
This award will be judged by an independent panel of board members and KOL’s.
BJN’s judges have provided some guidance to help you when submitting your entry.
Your entry:
• Please read the criteria for judging and write your entry with this in mind
• Stick to the word limit
• Answer the question concisely and with enough detail for the judges to understand your entry
• Make sure you use up-to-date evidence, such as: Audits, articles, posters, pictures, patient/staff feedback
• Answer the questions asked, don’t go off topic
• Work with communication teams within your trust to help write the application
• Re-read your entry and perhaps ask a colleague to look it over too.
